about

If you've been paying attention, you know by now that GOWER STREET was meant to be a double-cassette release. So, what happened to all those orphaned songs?

They wound up on this elaborate outtakes collection, VERMONT AVE.

VERMONT continues and expands on the audio snippets from the L.A. Rodney King riots, especially in the expansive sound documentary HOOLIGAN'S HOLIDAY, an impressionistic view of the riots through the prism of TV news.

There are also many finished and some almost-finished songs including Theme From Mom's Kitchen (an used DIMURO HOUSE idea); Two Minutes (a Don Campau song with Don on vocals and lead guitar); Ancient Fogweather (with a long music-minus-one solo section); Dino Dies Live Onstage (an ultra rare live recording), and a dizzying variety of half-finished ideas which culminate in a jam featuring Chris Assells and Jay Richardson.

Also included are a few outtakes from GOWER STREET itself.

New for this upload is the unreleased backing track With Every New Girl There's A Teeming Little World, which was excerpted on VERMONT as Camper Van Beethoven Rip, as well as the complete early demo for Ancient Fogweather.
